The participants answered 3 questions. Those questions we would like to ask again at the end of the project and see how the students answer then:
Q 1: Why do you think it is important to document artists and their work?
Answers:
- promote their work
- give more background about the artist
- provide more info that you can't get from just looking
- it's a document of history that can be shared and passed down
- the interview cold give the art center a more special collection
- comparing an American artist's art to an artist from New Zealand show the cultural differences
- to see how they think
Q 2: What can these interviews achieve?
Answers:
- we could show how an artist thinks and progresses through their artwork
- increase the number of visitors to the art center
- audiences perspectives will change on art
- it can be used as a source, memory
- to learn about thow art is combined
- how they practice their art
Q 3: What do you personally wnt to accomplish?
- I get the chance to experience my first interview
- I gain more knowledge about the artist as a person
- I get the chance to meet someone from New Zealand
- learn to use the equipment
- learn how to edit on the computer
- meet new artists that are from New Zealand
- communication skills
- meet new people
